CARIEN’S YOGA’S

Carien’s Yoga teachings are based on international certified advanced Yogateacher trainings (RYTT 500 hrs), which started in the 1990’s. She has more than 30 years of experience with Hatha-, Raja-, Ashtanga- & Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Healing Yoga, Yoga Nidra as well as Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda.

Her early interest in the Yogic way of life and the different Native people’s looks on life have determined her path. She followed the 4 year Raja Yoga training in Amsterdam (1995-1999), which was followed by diplomas in different specializations such as Children’s Yoga (2006), Certified Gaia Tree Teacher Training 200 hrs (2008), followed by an International Certified Advanced Teacher Training 500 hrs (2011) and the Foundation on Ayurveda 50 hrs (2014). Next to these, she has studied with (and is inspired by) teachers like Katiza Satya, Kevin Sahaj, Rajeev Kahn, Whit Hornsberger and more. She loves to keep on studying and does!

Since 2005 she teaches weekly classes and private (Yogatherapy-) sessions to children and adults. In 2009 she opened her own work space, YOGAFLOOR, in Loenersloot, Holland. There she teached weekly classes, silent-day retreats and workshops until August 2020.

Now, her teachings have moved to the HEART TO HEART Centre in Bussum (Huizerweg 54).

She leads yearly Yoga&Meditation retreats in Holland and abroad. Her popular quiet day retreat, ‘Silent Sunday’ is a monthly event in HEART TO HEART Centre. She teaches workshops and Masterclasses on the 5 Great Elements, the Chakras, Yoga philosophy and does regular Yoga Nidra sessions. Her ongoing inspiration springs from the ancient Yoga, Tantra and Shaman traditions (Tibetan as well as Indian), Buddhism and Native American traditions. These combined with her love of nature, beauty and her own intuition, form the base of her teachings, ánd her life!
